It’s been quite some time but I’m proud to announce to the world that the Philadelphia Phillies are officially back. Yes, the team that nearly lost 100 games last season is back and it’s all thanks to this massive bat flip from Odubel Herrera. Because that is not the bat flip of a man who plays for one of the worst teams in baseball over the past 5 years. This is the bat flip of a god who knows this team is on the rise and he’s out there hanging dong for all to see. The Phils are currently 26-21. They’re sitting in 3rd place in the NL East and only 1 game back from a wild card spot. Sure, it’s only May 26 and you don’t win shit in May. But when you’re crushing 3-run dingers and letting everybody know about it with this bat flip that may have made it’s way all the way to center city, it’s safe that you can claim the Phils are back from the dead. The past few seasons may have been torture but it’s just about summer, the Phillies are alive and well, and life is finally good again.
